T-39S Bluewater Sailboat

The T-39S was my second design project with The Landing School; it started with an overall length range and an interior already set. Most of this project was spent learning hydrostatics and a Computational Fluid Dynamics program. After the hull design, I studied the Nordic boat standard to figure out a rigging system for this sailboat and a mast section that would work. Unfortunately, all of my drawings for this boat were lost in AutoCAD, so I remade a few of them in Rhinoceros3D paper space. The rest of my projects use Rhino Paperspace for all the drafting.

This is the final product for the T-39S; the hull shape and rigging are complete, as well as the placement of the keel and rudder using appropriate NACA sections.

This is a render of a helm I modeled with a stainless and carbon wheel, an 8-inch compass, and a mounted throttle control lever.
